Working Rebel

Let's face it; there are just some days at work that you just want to rebel, not settle for how things are! You can't stop thinking just because that's how things are it, doesn't mean that's how they should be! Am I right?? Well, at least I have those days, and on those days when I want to rebel, push people to change for the better, I need an outfit that I feel will suite that mood. This outfit is just that! When I put this outfit on it is not only one of the most comfortable dresses I know have, but it makes me feel empowered, that I can conquer all my fears and be that badass girl who rebels and fights for more. Let's face it there are some days you need that extra lil help to keep you fighting for the right things at work. So, put on the outfit that does that for you and never give up no matter how many times the bad guys try to push you down. Keep doing the right things because someone does notice it even when we can't see it. #workingwomanrebel

Fall Fabulous

While out shopping two weeks ago I came across this dress that just screamed fall to me. So, I decided I needed it to vamp up my fall closet. Plus BCBGeneration was having a huge sale so that made my decision much easier! I had also been stalking the cream cape I am wearing ever since it came out but had told myself I didn't need it until it went on sale. Well, here I was and here it was on sale so it was meant to be! I picked up a few other things and came home and started building outfits this combo has become my fav for fall! Plus, I love twirling in it! ( you can see this on Instagram) Lol I also styled it in a casual way that works for running errands or just a relaxed date night. I hope y'all enjoy the looks.

P.S. BCBGeneration is having 40% off regular price!

Beautifully Beaded

I'm so honored that Kora Rae luxury clothing line reached out to me, and let me feature one of their pieces on my blog. I had a hard time choosing which piece I wanted to use, since the clothes were all so amazing! When I browsed through the website I wanted everything. The collection just seemed to fit my style perfectly! I finally decided on the crown jewel skirt in nude. I was so excited when it arrived it was just as beautiful in person as it was online! The combination of the bead work and sheerness of the material was breathtaking! I ordered my usual size which fit well; however I should have gotten one size up just to give my hips a little more room. I styled the skirt two ways. Look one was on Instagram with a high low blouse (for a soft feminine look). Look two is on my blog, and I decided to add a little edge to it. I paired it with a knotted basic black tee (which is one size larger than my normal size) and my vintage leather jacket with some booties. The second look was very me and I loved it! I can't wait to wear this look out on date night! The last thing I want to leave y'all with is how I love that Rachel Turzer (Kora Rae designer) not only has a passion for making beautiful clothes that are a piece of art; but they are also rooted in Branson, Missouri, which is in the middle of the National Tiger Sanctuary, and a percentage of all proceeds are donated to the sanctuary. The tiger is significant to the brand and has been incorporated into the line. I hope y'all enjoy the look and check out all of the amazing pieces that Kora Rae has to offer at korarae.com!

Closet surfing

Sometimes I like to challenge myself to not spend any money for a while on clothes. It may not seem hard to most people, however for someone who loves clothes it takes some control. However it does help my wallet, which is a big bonus!!! So, on this cold fall day we were going shopping for pumpkins, running to the farmers market, and stopping by to support my friend in one of her events. So I knew I wanted to be comfortable yet stylish.  I stepped into my closet took a look at my inventory and decided I wanted to wear one of my favorite t-shirts my BCBG elephant shirt. I had accidentally shrunk it and now it could be worn again since crop tops are in! I then finished off my look, and off we went to enjoy our day. I hope y'all enjoy the look and feel inspired to do a lil closet surfing every now and then.

T-shirt tales

Have you ever bought a t-shirt and just fell in love with it? Well, I have! That's exactly what happened when I went to the Anjelah Johnson featuring Bon qui qui concert and bought one of her t-shirts! So, I knew I had to do a blog post around it, so I did!  Plus, I wanted to do a fun post since I have been caught up in work the past two months. So, here is my day to night look with only changing shoes as we spent the whole day exploring and didn't have time to go back and change. I hope yall enjoy!

Madrid in May!

Madrid was just as  had been described to us; alive yet relaxed. We stayed in a great location and had an amazing host home through Air B&B. We had been given a list of places to go, things do and see. We relaxed, had lunch and rowed boats in   the park.  Seeing a bull fight, going to a Flamenco show were a few of the highlights. On this day I wanted to be comfy, and we had been overloading on carbs so something loose was a must at this point! My lace dress, fringe purse and gladiator sandals fit in perfectly in Madrid. But by this point I had decided I was on vaca and my hair could be too! So, au natural it was and very light makeup. Renting a boat at the park was decided after picking out my dress! But, hey it's vaca so go with the flow and enjoy the moment! I've gotta say since it was so hot out the dress was the perfect solution. Enjoy Madrid pics!

Pretty in Portugal part 2!

The weather was even better the second day of our trip for sight seeing. I knew it was the perfect day for my favorite maxi skirt and new sequined crop top. I know sequins are a bit much for traveling but I love it!!! It was comfy, airy and easy! I threw my hair in a top knot and was ready to head out and enjoy Lisbon for our last day. The thing I have learned about traveling is that I like to wear flats or tennis shoes. My clearance Target shoes were highly used.
Someone gave us a recommendation for a bakery, which they told us was a must stop. I loved it! However I do love sweets so...lol!! Again enjoy all the pics that were taken by my awesome sister! We did decide that our signature pic would be taken everywhere we went, so I felt like it had to be added!

Pretty in Portugal!

I'm so excited that this is my first traveling blog post! Portugal was my first stop, and the weather was amazing and I really enjoyed my time there. I knew when traveling I wanted to be comfortable on the plane, and that I wouldn't have time to change when I first got to Portugal. So, maxi dress and fringe cardi it was! Target was my go to store for my dress and shoes. I have to say I was really impressed with the selection there. I think I went a lil over board shopping at Target but I couldn't help myself. I hope Yall enjoy my first look in Portugal and some of the pics.
